Design and Features
The ZBook 14 looks very much like a 14-inch ultrabook, and that is the point. It measures about 0.83 by 13.5 by 9.5 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.88 pounds, so it will blend in with other business ultrabooks w510 netzteil rather than stand out like the chunkier mobile workstations like the former Editors' Choice HP EliteBook 8560w ($1,579) and Dell Precision M4700 ($4,049). It's also much lighter than full-sized business desktop replacement laptops like the Dell Latitude E6540$1,459.00 at Amazon ($1,479).The HP ZBook 14 samsung np3530ec battery features the same design language as its larger sibling, the ZBook 15. Its lid is composed of a stylish brushed aluminum surrounded by a textured magnesium alloy. In the center is an inlaid, reflective HP logo that matches the magnesium's dark coloring. Inside, the ZBook 14 sports a sleek and sturdy aluminum keyboard deck.
Probably the most notable physical feature of the Zbook 14 is its easy-open back which allows for fast add-ins or removal of components such as RAM, a mobile SIM card, and even a second battery samsung netzteil. Secured with a single heavy-duty sliding latch, the bottom comes away when opened to reveal the ports. Inside, the computer is quite densely packed, with the RAM being the most accessible piece of electronics. All major components besides the SSD can be removed without any tools, and even that only needs simple ones.
The ZBook 14 is a 14in model that has a usual notebook design, and HP dell netzteil m18x claims that it’s the world’s first mobile workstation to carry Ultrabook signage. Its profile thickness is on the limits of what the Ultrabook specification allows, and it houses a slew of ports and slots that are rarely represented on more mainstream Ultrabooks. Apart from four USB 3.0 ports, the ZBook 14 acer g236hl power supply supplies a full-sized DisplayPort, built-in Gigabit Ethernet, a VGA port, and an SD card slot. A facility is present on the right side that can be used for a docking port, security is handled by a Smart Card slot and a fingerprint reader, and there is an interface at the bottom that allows a second battery to be added.
Our review unit had Windows 7 Professional installed, along with the drivers for the internal components. The system comes with an option to install Windows 8 Pro, using the included DVDs. Since the system came with Windows 7, it's not a huge deal that the system lacks a touch screen in our review configuration. A touch screen is optional from HP, which is something that the ZBook 15 akkus dell can't be configured with. Windows 8 has very few business adherents, so the touch screen is hardly a necessity at this time. The ZBook 14 comes with a three year parts and labor warranty.
Performance
The ZBook 14 we tested came with a dual-core Intel Core i7-4600U processor, 16GB of system memory, a 256GB SATA SSD, and AMD switchable graphics with both a discrete AMD FirePro M4100 GPU and the i7's integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400. In short, the system is quite capable of creating multimedia projects, but its best strength is that it is ISV certified and can work fine as a supervisor's machine in the field. The Apple bty m6a MacBook Pro 13-inch (2013)$1,179.99 at Amazon ($1,299) was a smidge faster on Photoshop CS6 (4:27 vs. 6:28 for the ZBook 14) and Handbrake (1:09 vs. 1:11 for the ZBook 14), most likely due to the MacBook's slightly faster clocked processor and faster PCIe-based Flash Storage.
HP equipped the ZBook 14 with a 2.1-GHz dual-core Intel Core i7-4600U processor, a whopping 16GB of RAM and a 240GB SSD. With that kind of power, this workstation can easily handle even your most demanding productivity tasks. We ran a system scan on our review unit while streaming a Hulu Plus video with eight tabs open in Chrome ac adapter adp 65gd b without noticing any slowdown. The workstation-class graphics are part of the overall good performance of the ZBook (they recorded 5340 in 3DMark’s mid-range Cloud Gate test), and the solid state drive put up read and write rates of 400 megabytes per second (MBps) and 250.9MBps, respectively, in the CrystalDiskMark benchmark. We’ve seen faster SSDs in more mainstream Ultrabooks (the ASUS Zenbook UX301 apple ac power adapter even has a RAID 0 array in it), but these results are still very good.
The ZBook 14 is closer to its peers on 3D tasks, where it is very close to the performance of the Dell Precision M4700 with its 2GB Nvidia Quadro K2000M GPU on the 3DMark 11 test and our two game tests. True gaming cards like the Nvidia GeForce GT 765M in the Digital Storm Veloce ($1,596) give the best performance on 3D games and game tests, but the ZBook 14 ad820m0 asus is certainly capable of displaying 3D CAD designs in realtime as well as working in entertainment development and testing.
Keyboard
Like any business notebook worth its salt, the ZBook 14 samsung svd5614v offers a quality backlit Chiclet-style keyboard. The keys'travel and lightly textured surface made typing this review a breeze. On the Ten Thumbs Typing Tutor, we recorded an average typing speed of 80 words per minute, with a 1 percent error rate. That's better than our usual laptop typing speed of 78 words per minute. As with many other business notebooks, the HP ZBook 14 comes with a rubber pointing stick at the center of its keyboard, as well as two mouse buttons at the top of the notebook's vgpac10v10 touchpad. The pointing stick's rubberized textured surface made it easy to locate and use without looking. Overall, the pointing stick was accurate and offered smooth movement, comparing favorably to the one found on Lenovo's ThinkPad T440s.
The ZBook 14's top lid and keyboard deck are finished in metal, but the bottom lid is plastic/polycarbonate. This is one of the Zbook 14's strengths: The light, tool-less removable lid allows access to the internal components, primarily the system's hard drive bay, memory slots, and slots for accessories like the optional 4G mobile broadband module. The lid also allows access to the system's 50WHr removable battery toshiba power supply, something that may be of the utmost importance when you're computing far away from a power outlet or car charger. The removable and replaceable battery is something you won't find in most ultrabooks.
Battery Life
The HP ZBook 14's 3-cell battery lasted 7 hours and 34 minutes on our LAPTOP Battery Test, which involves continuous Web browsing over Wi-Fi with the display brightness set to 40 percent. That runtime is better than that on the Dell Latitude E7440 (5:52) and the thin-and-light laptop category average (6:51). However, other systems lasted longer, such as the MacBook Pro 15-inch (8:57), the Acer TravelMate P645 t101mt akku (9:46) and the Lenovo ThinkPad T440s, which ran for 14:36 with its high-capacity battery pack.
If you're looking for a nicely priced full Windows 7 mobile workstation and value portability, the HP ZBook 14 netzteil cpa09 004a should be at the top of your list. It has the clear and glare-free studio-ready display that you'd expect from a professional workstation, with the portability and battery life you'd expect from an ultrabook. IT serviceability is a big plus, especially if you have time-sensitive users who need to get back to work right now, even if they put a prop sword through the screen accidentally. Any director, manager, or vice president in the entertainment or engineering industries will be quite happy with the ZBook 14, especially if they travel. For these reasons, primarily portability and a price tag almost half that of the Dell Precison M4700 da130pm130, the HP ZBook 14 is our newest Editors' Choice for mobile workstations.
Speed
In our benchmarks, the ZBook 14 dell power adapter charger posted results we expected: 39sec in Blender 3D, and just under 20min (19min 45sec) in HandBrake (where we turn a VOB file into an MP4). It’s also a swift machine when it comes to tasks that are typically associated with the office, be it creating presentations, working on spreadsheets, and, of course, multitasking. However, we experienced some slight delays when moving the cursor, which perhaps had something to do with the background software or the drive encryption that we enabled. That said, it wasn't always noticeable and had completely gone by the end of our review.
If you're in the market for a low-cost business notebook netzteil j211h, we suggest checking out the Lenovo T440s or Acer TravelMate P645. If you're interested in a workstation, you should also consider Dell's 15-inch Precision M3800. That slim speedster packs a 2.2-GHz Intel Core i7-4702HQ CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and Nvidia Quadro K1100M graphics, as well as a higher resolution, touch-enabled QHD+ display, all for $100 less.Where the ZBook 14 lenovo 90w 20v ac adapter offers more than a regular Ultrabook is in its ability to off-load some processing tasks to the AMD graphics processor when running design and engineering applications. You should mainly consider buying this laptop if you run those types of applications (such as 3ds Max).
Conclusion
This is a good laptop ad 3014stn. It's well built, has plenty of features, and its screen is of high quality. The keyboard is also comfortable to use once you get used to it, and its backlight looks good at night time. Battery life wasn't great, but there are options to improve it.Our review unit had Windows 7 Professional installed, along with the drivers for the internal components. HP kept the ZBook 14 expectedly clean of bloatware. The workstation comes loaded with the aforementioned security software, as well as the CyberLink YouCam software. You also get the HP Performance Enhancer, in addition to CyberLink PowerDVD 12. Further software offerings include Skype and the AMD Catalyst Controller.
